Pleasant room with huge balcony room 616. Had a lovely stay good hotel would recomend to anyone looking for a good hotel for a comfortable stay good bed and room also excellant bathroom. Staff very pleasant.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Nice Riviera at the end of August - we were impressed by just about everything the hotel had to offer. The location was great - just a short stroll to the promenade and handy for the bus and train services which we used to get about to explore other nearby attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean throughout. Our room (which was an executive room even though we had only booked a superior) was very spacious and clean and there was no noise to cause night time disturbance. We had complementary water and biscuits on arrival which was a nice touch after travelling. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location just 2 mins walk from Ave Jean Medecin, 5 mins walk to beach & 10 mins walk to Old Town or Gare Nice Ville. We had 2 twin rooms which were of good size with very comfortable beds and clean cotton linens. Carpets & bathroom tiles could do with updating. Windows pretty sound proof even though it's on the street. Towels provided for indoor pool & jacuzzi. Reception staff were very helpful. Hotel bar only open until 10.30pm.

The hotel looked impressive from the outside. Rooms were dated but very clean and comfortable. Pool was not as big as it appears on the web but hey it was free! The jacuzzi was great at the end of the day - Sauna needed pre-booking. Breakfast was good value for money. Would recommend this hotel for it's location and price.

A very nice hotel in a great location and, unusually for France, good size rooms. Great for the old town and the shopping area. We would definately use this hotel again.

The hotel is walking distance to the shopping district, the old town, the sea front, and it has the tram 2 mins walk away and all rail stations are within 10-15 min walk. Despite being so central it was quiet and the staff all spoke good English. There's a small indoor pool which is heated.

A well positioned hotel, near to central Nice. Catering for alot of Brits, but no tea making facilites. Excellent service, room was cleaned daily and when i asked for an Iron the chap was at my door by the time i put the phone down. Will go again....

For a hotel that sports a four star rating and puts it on all its stationary, it is NOT a four star. The rooms are dingy and sheets and blankets old. There is a musty smell everywhere. To top it off, they nickel and dime us by charging for everything. Parking and breakfast I understand, but the safe in the room?

Stayed 4 nights with friend for a girly break on room only basis. Staff extremely helpful & friendly.Location was perfect situated just off main area with shops etc & within walking distance for old town, promenade, buses & train stations. Clean & comfortable. Definitely recommend this hotel & we will be going back for sure!

Optimistic 4* but would recommend it - great location. Staff very helpful & friendly - room very clean but coffee making facilities mean - 2 free sachets & pay for them from then on!! Swimming pool very small but clean & functional - looks much bigger in photos. Must walk past reception & front foyer through bar back to your room after swim !!

For a hotel that bills itself as 4-star, this is not there. Rooms small and no A/C, despite the warmth of the nights: "We don't turn it on until summer". Location OK, but noisy - especially since we had to open the window at night. Parking convenient. We had adjoining rooms with our family and the staff - after our asking - opened the connecting doors to a small sitting area, which was a GREAT bonus. Why not offered initially?

This hotel was very centrally located - 5 mins to train station - 5 mins to bus station and 5 mins to old town/promenade. The shops are within walking distance which is great. We found the breakfast very expensive at €17 pp (children under 6 free) for what is a very basic breakfast. All in all - we enjoyed our stay and would definately return.

this is an old hotel in Nice, location is good, stores like Monoprix is close by so you can buy bottle water, bread or fruit. Although it's 4-star rating is bit stretched..but most of the French hotels are anyway..

I stayed in the Hotel Nice Riviera for 3 nights in February 2009. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.The hotel is very central to the Old Town and the centre of nice.The hotel was reasonable priced. The hotel is rated 4 star but I would rate it 3 star. I would stay in this hotel again.

Very good hotel at a great price. Centrally situated close to shops, easy walk to train station or seafront. Only downside was the bar shut at 10:30 so no nightcap unless you went to bed early. Breakfast pricey 17 euros so eat at cafes outside.

Hotel was ideally located for a short city break. About 10 mins walk from both train station and bus station and 3 mins walk from trams. Right in the centre of shopping area and loads of restaurants nearby. The street itself was in a quiet area with no noise to bother you at night. Swimming pool is a little on the small side but adequate. Rooms quite spacious and kept very clear. Staff had good english and were very helpful.

An ideal haven to rejuvenate after discovering the many faces of Nice. The welcome at reception was so friendly even though we arrived 6 hours before check-in time.We were allocated a room immediately which was wonderful as we had spent 11 hours travelling on an uncomfortable train. The rooms were ideal.....who needs expensive luxury on a city break? The beds, very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. All the staff were patient,informative and efficient.

Stayed in Executive room which could have been dusted a bit better than it was. Terrace good I suppose as was comfort of bed, nice touch with robes and slippers. In quiet street. Just lacked a certain something!

Great location for exploring Nice & surrounding area. 10/15mins walk to old town & flower market, Promenade D'Anglais, Train Station/Bus station to visit Monaco etc, round corner from main shopping street. Clean & pleasant room although not very large & red colour a bit overdone! Lots hot water, fluffy towels & comfy beds. Reception staff spoke good English & were very helpful.

we were three ladies who went to this hotel for a weekend break. the staff on reception were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The room was very clean and large enough for three ladies. the hotel was only a short walk to resturants and the shops. we would definately go back to this hotel

Location was good if you are in Nice for a city break. It is handy for the bus & train station and a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of the old town. The hotel was a bit dated and the decor wasn't to my taste but it was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It has four stars on the front doors but this wouldn't equate to a 4 star hotel in the UK. The reception staff were very nice and helped us with any and every query. The first room we were given in the hotel was small, dark and smelt of smoke (even though it is a non-smoking hotel!) As soon as we mentioned this to the reception staff they moved us. Our next room was much bigger and brighter so we were happy! For the price we paid we feel the hotel was good value and comfortable but if you are looking for modern surroundings I wouldn't suggest you stay here!

I was slightly nervous about some of the previous reviews, but i was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was good. The pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures but was still big enough for a swim and not as overlooked as suggested. As long as you have 3* expectations & get a good deal on the price, this hotel is a gem.

We were very impressed with this hotel. Yes, maybe more a 3 star hotel and I wouldn't stay there if having a swimming pool is important to you, but the staff were excellent- so friendly & helpful. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable- even the sofa bed. The bathroom was great- clean and with a powerful shower. The location was great- situated right off the main shopping strip and a pleasant stroll to the beach. This more than suited 3 girls having a short break in Nice.

nice indoor swimming pool with towels !, and clean and comfortable; near to everything and a pleasant location. But an expensive breakfast so better to eat out in one of the many cafes nearby and expensive to use the internet. unexpected tax to pat at the end. quite good freebies in the bathroom though.

Stayed for a 3 day break. Clean hotel. Staff very efficient and all speak excellent English. We had a family room which was great value and very clean. Hotel is centrally located for both shopping, restaurants, trains buses and beach. Would definitely stay again and i'm not easily pleased.

The hotel was right in a great part of Nice, walkable to all the highlighted parts of the city, safe neighborhood for walking even at night. Right on the tram to the Acropolis convention center, SUPER helpful staff. Only slight complaint was over eager housekeeping staff who should wait a little bit after knocking before using their keys.

A very nice hotel in a good location. Clean, comfortable and good facilities. Would be nice if there was more choice of English speaking tv channels, but didn't spoil the trip.

The hotel reception staff were extremely polite, helpfull and didn't laugh at my poor attempt at speaking french. The hotel is located within nice walking distance (10mins) of the Acropolis conference centre and only a few minutes from the main shopping area of Nice - a five minute stroll to the old town (lots of bars and good restaurants) and also the main promenade - so ideally situated. The rooms on the 6th floor were very comfortable with a nice balcony furnished with a table and chairs - great for taking in the last few rays of sunshine. The hotel swimming pool looked enticing but unfortunately I didn't have time to take advantage of the facilities. I would certainly recommend the hotel Nice Riviera.

The Hotel Nice Riviera provided a good base for exploring the city and was only five minutes walk from the old town, the shopping area or the Promenade des Anglais. The bus station was the best place to start for out of town journeys . The hotel swimming pool is warm and there is a jaccuzzi and sauna besides.Very pleasant,competent staff and comfortable surroundings. Guided tours can be booked at reception.

We requested a bed for our five year old,which was ready and waiting,however we had to ask on numerous occasions for a third set of towels and glasses.The fire alarm went off at 4am ,many guests didn't congregate outside as we did.The staff were particularly unhelpful.No fire brigade ever arrived,no reason was given and after @ 20mins we went back to our rooms.No one appeared to check each floor before we were allowed back nad we were told that occasionally the alarm is set off due to high temperatures!!!!

The corners of ceilings and the ceilings of the closet have dark fungus/mildews covered the area. It is gross. The carpets were so dirty. This hotel needs to do remodeling or an extreme make-over.

This was a clean, contemporary hotel, friendly and helpful staff, in location that was close to beach,shopping,Cours Saleya and 15 minute walk to the train station, which we found convenient for our travels to neighboring towns. The rooms are not large but adequate,our 2 teen girls shared a sofabed. They enjoyed the small indr pool. The air-conditioning and refrigeration of mini-bar was weak. For the price, bkfst could have been included, but was not. WE booked 2 1/2 mnths in advance and got the third nt free.

the room was a bit small, bathroom was really nice, and the A/C worked, but it wasnt really cold. Its in a great location and the staff was so helpful in telling us about restautrants, shopping, sights, etc. We would stay there again-

Hotel is erg schoon met zeer goede bedden, ontbijt hebben we er niet genomen vanwege de prijs. Rondom hotel enorm veel ontbijtgelegenheden die betaalbaar zijn. Het hotel ligt centraal t.o.v. strand en oude centrum. Ideale uitvalshoek voor alles. We kregen eerst een familiekamer met een tussendeur naar een andere kamer. Hier waren we niet blij mee en zijn terug naar de receptie gegaan. We kregen direct een andere kamer waarbij we de safe cadeau kregen. De nieuwe kamer was een classical room zoals we geboekt hadden. Kamer is zeer schoon en de badkamer heeft alle faciliteiten.

nicely situated - close to centre of Nice, but breakfast at the hotel a bit over the top (17 euro) - even tried to overcharge us about 30 euro on the breakfast - when we mentioned this, no sorrry statements!? but generally OK - close to centre, the old part of town and the beach

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel pour fêter notre anniversaire de mariage et nous avons été très contents de l'accueil et de la qualité de la chambre.

Vi er en familie med mindre børn og har før boet på hotellet. Værelsesstandarden er god og medarbejderne venlige og meget imødekommende. Derudover har hotellet har en lille swimmingpool, som ungerne efter en varm dag er vilde med at boltre sig i. Endelig er den centrale beliggenhed tæt på Place Massena, gågaderne, blomstertorvet, strandpromenaden og den gamle bydel i top.

Har bodd tidligere på dette hotellet, men denne gang fungerte aircondition anlegget dårlig. Det ble opplyst at minibar ble fyllt opp daglig, men dette ble ikke gjort. Minibar var i tillegg utkoblet slik at alle drikkevarer var varme.
